Discreet billing

Discreet billing is the practice of putting a neutral company name on the card statement instead of the platform's brand. It changes the descriptor and nothing else - the charge, the amount, the date and the card used are all still recorded.

Where you see it

It appears as a short reassurance line near the payment fields, or as an entry in the billing FAQ describing what the statement will say.

Why it matters

The promise is narrower than it sounds. The receipt email still arrives in your inbox, the bank still holds the transaction, and anyone with access to your device or a shared card account can still see that something was bought. Treat it as one small measure covering one surface, not as billing anonymity.
