Notification permission
Notification permission is the approval that lets a platform send you messages after you leave the page: a banner on the phone, a popup on the desktop, or activity and marketing mail to your registered address. Each of those channels is a separate setting, so switching off browser popups does not stop the emails.

Where you see it
The browser asks the first time, usually as a popup soon after a room page loads. Email alerts are commonly switched on at sign-up and are changed in account notification settings, while phone alerts sit in the device's per-app list.
Why it matters
Notifications are the most common way an adult platform becomes visible to someone who is not you, because a performer-is-live banner or a subject line can surface on a lock screen or in a shared inbox preview. Declining the browser prompt costs nothing you cannot turn back on later, and an email alias keeps platform mail out of an address other people see.
