Phishing page

A phishing page is a page built to capture what you type - a login, a card number, a one-time code - by imitating a screen you were expecting to see. On adult platforms it usually copies the login form, the token purchase step or a payment processor's checkout.

Where you see it

Reached through a link in an email about a suspended account or a failed payment, through a pop-under an ad left behind, or as the last hop of a redirect chain that began somewhere legitimate.

Why it matters

Urgency is the signal: these pages manufacture a deadline about an account closing or a charge reversing so that you act before you read the address. Nothing typed into one can be pulled back, so when a message tells you to log in, close it and open the site the way you normally would. A code from an authenticator app is no protection here - entered on a fake page, it is spent on the real one within seconds.
